A visit to the DIA
Your old friend Carmen Santiago invited you to spend some time at the Detroit Institute of Art today! Since you both have Michigan Activity Passes that makes it easy for you both to get in free. As you explore the museum, you can’t seem to find Carmen anywhere, but you notice that Carmen isn’t the only thing missing.

The painting Felina with a Kitten is missing!
On the floor in front of the spot where it once hung is a scrap of paper along with a paw print, almost as if the subjects of the painting have escaped, and left a clue…

It looks like a ticket to another museum! On the back of the ticket is written some sort of strange code.

You're curious about the symbols on the ticket and spend some time looking around the museum to see if you can find what they are. This has to mean something . . . a missing painting . . . the paw print on the ticket . . . the symbols . . .
After spending some time with no luck finding anything to explain the symbols, you notice something else in VERY tiny writing on the ticket. You use your phone's camera to zoom in on the writing and see that it is a library's website: dexter.lib.mi.us/teen-services/.
You still haven't found Carmen or what the symbols mean, and you're getting tired of wandering around, so you sit down to think and find yourself looking up that library's website.
[Hint: Go to the library's website using the link above!]
Hmmm, that looks promising! If you're not quite sure what it means, take a detour here for another hint.
